I was trying for a number of things with this design. I wanted a spear that would have a 'stop' like a boar spear. I was also looking for a design that would allow disarming and 'pin' attacks. And lastly I wanted a design that would let the user get a 'second chance' attack on a back-pull. I think I might do a battlestaff and throwing version as well.
